Jutoh overview

Jutoh makes it easy to create ebooks in popular formats that you can sell on many ebook sites, including Amazon's Kindle and Apple's iBooks.

Create your project in seconds from existing files using the New Project Wizard; or create your book from scratch using the built-in styled text editor.

Select a book cover design from Jutoh's templates, or create your own with the built-in cover designer.

Jutoh lets you start creating your ebooks quickly, but has plenty of features and configuration for more advanced use, including support for contents, index and endnotes pages.

What's new in version 3.29

Switched to wxWidgets 3.2.9 on Mac with the latest Apple developer tools.
Fixed unwanted horizontal scrolling of property lists on Mac.
Added an advanced option on Mac to use a generic font selector in case there are problems with the native one.
Added single quotation marks around embedded font file names to avoid warnings on some publishing platforms.
Now uses the standard application data folder (Library folder on Mac) to store temporary project files locally when a cloud folder is detected, unless the "Temporary folder" advanced setting is provided.
When repairing missing character or paragraph styles via Formatting Cleanup, the project properties were not being marked as changed when styles were added, so on closing and reopening the project file, the same problem would reappear.
Fixed the font scaling when choosing the overall (edit) font: previously the chosen font would be rendered too small.
Removed the redundant document type selector under the Favourites list.
No longer automatically adds projects to Favourites that are just being browsed, for example via Help | Browse Samples.
Clicking on a Favourites column label now toggles between forward and reverse search for that column.
Added advanced setting "Inspector refresh delay" to allow speeding up refresh on faster machines, where more frequent refreshes won't cause sluggishness.
When importing HTML/Epub, embedded font declarations are taken into account when choosing the font facename out of the list of facenames that may be set for a CSS style. This avoids wrongly setting the facename in some circumstances.
When importing HTML/Epub, if the style does not include italic or bold, but the font name implies it by containing "Italic" or "Bold", italic or bold will be set. This means that if you choose not to use an italic or bold font from the original file, the implied style will still be used for whatever available font is actually used.
